A leading social enterprise in Leatherhead is looking for someone to oversee the new embroidery department and manage existing production lines. This role involves developing and manufacturing products for commercial sale and internal divisions, alongside creating training programs for the team. Candidates should have strong knowledge of embroidery, fabric printing, and machinery.
Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC) is RBLI’s Social Enterprise, providing employment opportunities to veterans and people with disabilities.
This is a new and exciting role within Leatherhead BBMC. We already have existing Direct to Garment print capabilities that can be developed further and are now expanding into a new business stream to provide embroidered products both commercially and to our internal divisions within the organisation, whilst also providing ongoing employment.
BBMC Leatherhead employs 23 people, 13 of whom are adults with a range of learning and physical disabilities. Many of the team members will be involved in this new business stream, and the job role will include delivering training.
BBMC Leatherhead is a thriving print and design studio, providing printed materials to customers across the UK. It has successfully expanded into printed fabric items for private and commercial buyers and sees this new venture as a natural expansion of its business.
This role will oversee the new embroidery department at BBMC Leatherhead, along with the existing Direct to Garment and Sewing production lines. Working with the management team, you will develop and manufacture products to sell commercially and supply internal divisions such as Fundraising and Retail. You will also create and deliver a training program to upskill the team.
You should have a good knowledge of embroidery and fabric printing processes and the machinery used to produce these garments at a commercial level.
