Job summary

TAGGED RESOURCES is seeking a Fabric Technologist to join a leading, established clothing company in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree with commercial experience and be looking to develop their career in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Head of Department, you will shop for fabrics, liaise with suppliers, and ensure base and bulk testing is completed on time to deliver quality.

Qualifications

• Fashion degree required with commercial textile experience.
• Experience sourcing and developing fabrics with suppliers.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to meet buyers and suppliers.
• Ability to drive to attend fit meetings.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new fabrics with suppliers.
• Report development progress to factory.
• Ensure base and bulk testing is completed on time.
• Resolve product issues.
• Attend fit sessions with Garment Technologist.
• Support design and buying teams on technical knowledge.
• Ensure suppliers work towards sustainability targets.
