Fabric Technician – Loughton, Essex

Are you an experienced and proactive Fabric Technician looking to join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly support high standards in building maintenance and operations?

We’re looking for a skilled professional to deliver a wide range of planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across our site, ensuring safety, quality, and minimal operational downtime. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our building structures and finishes, working both independently and collaboratively with our dedicated team and specialist contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks via our Planon IWMS system.
• Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues with priority response.
• Conduct daily and periodic building inspections, producing work schedules as needed.
• Undertake routine maintenance of building fabric including repairs, finishes, and decorating.
• Maintain accurate updates on all tasks through the IWMS system.
• Support external OEM contractors during surveys and inspections.
• Act as a Health & Safety ambassador, promoting a safe working environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and a collaborative team culture.
• Participate in incident management and recovery planning exercises.

What We’re Looking For Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in fabric maintenance, repairs, construction, painting, and decorating.

Desirable (But Not Essential)

• IOSH Working Safely qualification.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant building/fabric subject.
• IPAF or PASMA Working at Height certification.
