Job Title: Fabric Technician
Location: Darlington/Sedgefield
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 17:00
Salary: Up to £32,000

The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Fabric Technician to join a leading Facilities Management company, working on prestigious sites in Darlington and Sedgefield. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with excellent benefits and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric and finishes
  2. Performing basic carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, and minor plumbing tasks
  3. Conducting door repairs, ceiling tile replacements, and general handyman duties
  4. Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
  5. Liaising with clients and stakeholders to maintain high service delivery standards
  6. Assisting other engineers and supporting the wider maintenance team

Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a Fabric Engineer or Maintenance Technician role within commercial buildings
  2. Strong knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general building repairs
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  5. Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
