Job summary

BOSS Professional Services LTD is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Consultant to join the analytics team and help migrate legacy data flows, datasets and reporting dependencies into the Microsoft Fabric environment. You will focus on moving data ingestion and transformation into Fabric, cleansing data, and rebuilding dataflows while supporting Fabric lakehouse and warehouse structures.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Microsoft Fabric solutions, including migration from legacy data flows.
• Strong Power BI knowledge: semantic models, relationships, DAX, and report dependencies.
• Strong SQL skills for profiling, cleansing, transforming data from multiple sources.
• Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and pipeline dependencies.
• Ability to document data flows, transformation logic, assumptions and support requirements clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently on a time-limited delivery engagement.

Responsibilities

• Review legacy data flows, datasets, reports and dependencies to plan migration.
• Migrate ingestion/transformation into Fabric using Dataflows Gen2, pipelines, lakehouse and related services.
• Assist with data cleansing, reconciliation and quality checks for migrated outputs.
• Design and build a robust Power BI semantic model with tables, relationships and measures.
• Support transition of Power BI reports to Fabric-backed data model with clear guidance.
• Document migrated data flows, transformations, definitions and known issues for ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with analytics, technology and business stakeholders to prioritise migration work and provide progress updates.
