Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Balderstone, Blackburn, is seeking a Building Fabric Supervisor to manage fabric maintenance across commercial and industrial sites. The role is full-time and on-site, with a PDA and strong support to deliver high-quality service.

You will coordinate labour, ensure health and safety standards, conduct audits, and support staff development. The ideal candidate holds Level 2/3 City & Guilds or equivalent, NEBOSH/IOSH, and has facilities or mobile maintenance

Qualifications

Full, current driving licence.
Background in facilities or mobile maintenance within a construction or similar environment.
City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or equivalent.
NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely.
HND, NVQ or equivalent qualification with strong communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee all activities relating to building fabric maintenance.
Ensure your team are working to high levels of health and safety and statutory requirements.
Coordinate labour (direct and subcontract) to ensure delivery of Planned and Reactive Maintenance services, including managing resources during periods of sickness and holiday.
Undertake routine and ad-hoc audits of both planned and reactive works to ensure high standards of compliance and quality.
Manage employees within a service environment, including appraisals, performance reviews, training and development planning, whilst supporting continual improvement of service delivery.
