Overview

Fabric Engineer (Night Shift) - Client Direct - Excellent Benefits - Barbican - £52,000

Exciting opportunity to work at a commercial campus situated by in Barbican. CBW are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to cover a commercial campus. The successful candidate will be qualified (C&G or NVQ) in Painting & Decorating or Carpentry with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This is an ongoing permanent role and pays a yearly salary of £52,000 (including shift allowance) + excellent benefits based on qualifications and experience, inclusive of shift allowance.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out general fabric repairs across the campus
  • Painting, decorating, and touch-up work
  • Minor carpentry – fixing doors, locks, and furniture
  • Hanging shelves, whiteboards, pictures, blinds, etc.
  • Basic lighting checks and minor replacements
  • Porterage – furniture moves and room setups
  • Supporting PPMs, tap temperature checks, flushing, and fire alarm testing
  • Maintaining and updating compliance logbooks
  • Escorting and overseeing sub-contractors during works
Hours of work

4 on 4 off nights • 19:00 – 07:00

Package
  • Salary of £48,000 + £4,000 shift allowance
  • 30 days holiday

  • On call payment + attendance payment if called out
Requirements
  • Painting & Decorating / Carpentry - City & Guilds Level 3
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
