Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Guildford, Surrey - Monday - Friday - Up to £32,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance at a static site in Guildford, Surrey. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Hours of Work & Package

• Basic Salary of up to £32,000
• Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm
• 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
• Overtime available

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service
• Perform basic fabric duties such as touch-up painting, hinge tightening, blind installation/repair, lock changing, minor cabinet and desk repairs, and assembling small equipment like chairs
• Undertake plumbing tasks including clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, and system servicing
• Painting and decorating
• Assist with minor office moves and furniture handling
• Liaise with contract management team
• Investigate complaints and take appropriate action
• Provide feedback on M&E jobs to the helpdesk
• Perform technical and non-technical maintenance tasks as appropriate
• Offer technical support and backup as needed
• Ensure safety measures are followed in hazardous areas
• Use tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain high standards in reactive and planned maintenance, including minor improvements
• Assist Multi-Skilled Engineers when required

Requirements

• Trade certificates copies must be provided
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled capabilities
• Good communication skills
