Job description

Job Title: Fabric Engineer / Handyman / Multi-Trader
(Qualification such as a C&G or NVQ in a construction trade required)
Salary: Dependant on experience £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Location: Various Locations, primarily across London & Inside M25
Van & Fuel Card Provided: Candidates will start off paired with another engineer

The ideal candidate will be located within London or the M25 region to ensure proximity to the areas of work.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Handyman/Fabric Engineer/Multi-Trader to join a dynamic team, providing essential maintenance and repair services across a range of housing associations and properties throughout London. This role involves a variety of tasks, from general handyman duties to more specific fabric engineering and multi-trade work. As part of your duties, you will carry out essential repairs, maintenance, and installations, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery within residential properties across London and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform general building and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and basic fabric engineering.
  2. Handle reactive maintenance requests and carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  3. Conduct property inspections and provide recommendations for improvement or repair.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of systems and equipment in residential properties and housing associations.
  5. Work efficiently as part of a team, initially paired with an experienced engineer, to deliver top-tier service.
  6. Ensure all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
  7. Maintain clear and accurate records of all work carried out.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in a multi-trade role, with a focus on maintenance and repairs across various systems.
  2. Solid background in building fabric engineering, handyman services, and general repairs.
  3. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other essential trades.
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with clients and team members.
  6. Ability to manage your time efficiently and work to deadlines.
  7. Full UK driving license (Van and fuel card provided).
  8. Health & Safety awareness.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Previous experience in housing association or residential property maintenance.
  2. Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.).
Package:
