Job summary

A leading property management company is recruiting a Fabric Technician in Crawley. Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and conducting site surveys. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabric and carpentry, a City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent qualification, and good customer relationship skills. A UK driver's license and PC literacy are also required.

Job description

CBRE is recruiting a Fabric Technician to join the team located in Crawley. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to reactive works within the team
  • Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaising with Client representatives with respect to maintenance and repair tasks
  • Undertaking site surveys and producing Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairing floor and wall coverings
  • Being responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Being responsible for other building and installation works as required
  • Being accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's, and Basic Plumbing requirements
  • Utilizing a PDA to complete works, key communications, and updates
  • Completing reactive, PPM jobs, and projects in a timely manner
  • Undertaking minor project works
  • Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations

In addition to the above duties, you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
  • Experience of working in a high-profile work environment
  • City and Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
  • A current UK driver's license
  • PC literacy
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions/processes
  • The ability to organize self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
