Fabric Engineer - Static Site

Location: Cardiff

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Uniform, tools & PPE provided

The Role:

We're looking for a hands-on and proactive Fabric Engineer to join a prestigious commercial contract based at a single static site in Cardiff.

In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of building fabric maintenance tasks, ensuring the site remains safe, operational, and looking its best. You'll work closely with the onsite engineering team and facilities manager, delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.

Typical Duties:

1. General fabric maintenance: painting, basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, etc.
2. Door and lock repairs
3. Ceiling and floor tile replacements
4. Minor plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking sinks/toilets)
5. Visual inspections and reporting of site condition issues
6. Assisting engineers with general maintenance when required

What You'll Need:

1. Proven experience in a similar building/facilities maintenance or fabric role
2. Basic knowledge across trades: carpentry, plumbing, decorating, etc.
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Health & safety awareness
