Job description

Job Title: Fabric Engineer

We are seeking a Fabric Engineer to join our Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team based in Cambridgeshire.

Location:

Cambridgeshire

Hours:

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. Some flexibility on hours is available; please discuss this when you speak to us.

Responsibilities:

• Survey and assess building fabric elements across multiple facilities to identify issues and recommend maintenance or improvements.
• Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with site teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery of works and excellent customer service.
• Produce reports and recommendations for minor works, including scoping requirements in line with contractual KPIs.
• Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements and internal policies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a fabric-biased maintenance or surveying role.
• Valid driving license and flexibility to travel across sites.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload, including participation in emergency response rotas.
