Job summary

LA International is seeking a Fabric Data Engineer for an on-site contract in Preston. The role requires active SC clearance and will operate Inside IR35.

You will work across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, ADF, Databricks, and related services to design and optimize data pipelines. The candidate should hands-on with PySpark, SQL and Python, experience in real-time streaming and tuning Spark jobs, and familiarity with common file formats like Parquet and JSON.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL and Python.
• Experience with real-time streaming apps, Kafka or Azure messaging.
• Experience with Spark processing and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with file formats Parquet, JSON, XML, CSV.

We have a new requirement for a Fabric Data Engineer

All work will be completed on-site in Preston and an active SC is required.

This contract role has been determined as falling Inside IR35.

Skills required:

• Microsoft fabric, Power App, Azure Synapse,
• Azure ADF and Data bricks, Azure Functions, App Service, Logic app, AKS, Azure app service, Webapp
• Hands-on expertise in PySpark, SQL, and Python programming
• Good knowledge in real time streaming applications preferably with experience Kafka Real time messaging or Azure function, Azure service bus.
• Spark processing and performance tuning
• File formats partitioning for e.g. Parquet, JSON, XML, CSV
• Azure DevOps/git hub and CI/C
