Job summary

A leading oil and gas company is seeking a highly skilled F1 Senior Trackside Fluid Engineer to ensure peak fuel performance and compliance with FIA regulations. The role involves extensive collaboration with the Aston Martin F1 team on trackside fluid analysis and management. Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in fuels or lubricants, ideally in motorsport, and the ability to work under pressure during races.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in specialist fuels, lubricants, motorsports, or analytical roles.
• Experience working trackside in Formula One is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical analysis to verify compliance of fuels and lubricants.
• Oversee fuel delivery, storage, sampling, and usage at events.
• Build and operate the mobile fluid lab at events.

Skills

Advanced understanding of fuel/lubricant chemistry

Proficiency in GC, FTIR, viscosity measurement

Strong data analysis and reporting skills

Attention to detail under time constraints

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering
