Job summary

Williams Heritage is recruiting a Heritage No 2 Mechanic / Technician to join the team responsible for planning, preparation and build of Formula One cars and subcomponents at our Witney site and at events around the world.

You will work mainly from the factory with regular travel to client events, demonstrations and racing activities, keeping the workshop and equipment to an elite, client‑facing standard and updating departmental records as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience of full F1 build/strip‑down
• Knowledge of torque verification and quality control processes
• Experience with pit/garage equipment to safety standards
• In‑depth knowledge of F1 car systems and lifing data
• Previous motorsport experience as a Mechanic (F1/WEC/GP2)
• Full, clean driving licence (trailer/towing desirable)
• Forklift, dangerous goods and First Aid certifications are a bonus

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, service F1 cars and pit equipment to spec and deadlines
• Travel to client events with regular trips from factory
• Maintain equipment and workshop to elite, client‑facing standard
• Update technical documentation related to builds, lifing and maintenance
• Identify missing or failed components and oversee repair or procurement
• Collaborate across Heritage, Event Support, Race Team and suppliers
• Represent Williams Heritage and Williams F1 brand positively
