An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Lanarkshire Council's Chief Executive's Office within the Communications and Strategy service, and we are seeking to recruit a Digital Officer (Team Leader).
You will be required to drive effective digital content creation across all council platforms, implement and review digital software, systems, and processes, be capable of budget management, and have a key role in driving digital transformation for the Council's Communication and Strategy functions.
Experience in managing website, intranet, and social media content to meet accessibility standards is essential. You should demonstrate a solid understanding of WCAG 2.2 standards and their implications for digital content. Familiarity with tools like Siteimprove is highly desirable. Knowledge of assistive technologies will also be beneficial.
Experience working with content management systems (CMS) is required, with preference for experience in Jadu CMS. You will contribute to developing our website and intranet, as well as emerging technologies.
You should demonstrate excellent communication, project planning, organizational, and networking skills, along with the ability to manage digital team workloads and meet deadlines. Strong IT skills, problem-solving abilities, and flexibility are also required.
