Are you a passionate and committed EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN) with a heart for supporting young children with autism and challenging behaviour? Do you have experience in SEN settings and a genuine drive to help every child thrive? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

An outstanding SEN school in Birkenhead, Wirral is seeking a caring and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with early years learners, supporting their development both academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism and behavioural needs.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, tailored learning activities.
  • Promote a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective behaviour management and support strategies.
  • Help pupils develop key life skills such as communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to review meetings.
Qualifications
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience supporting children with autism and/or behavioural challenges.
  • A sound understanding of autism spectrum conditions and positive behaviour approaches.
