Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Hull
Salary: £90 £104.94 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time/ Part-time, Long Term/ Day-to-day

Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)?

GSL Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) with experience supporting children with SEN to join a welcoming school in Hull from September. This is a rewarding role where you ll play a key part in helping young learners build confidence, develop essential skills, and engage with their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities for EYFS Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to children in an EYFS setting with SEN.
  • Assist teachers with delivering creative, play-based, and structured learning activities.
  • Use tailored strategies to support speech, language, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an EYFS or nursery setting, with SEN support experience preferred.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with young children.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Strong communication and team-working skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
