Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting a Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class in Kendal. The role is full-time, 30 hours per week, from 8:45am to 3:15pm, with lunchtime supervision, and an immediate start.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) and have experience in EYFS, demonstrating a nurturing and patient approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ongoing support and opportunities across local schools are offered.

EYFS Teaching Assistant (Reception) - Level 2

Kendal | Full Time | Immediate Start

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Kendal to recruit a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Reception class.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EYFS practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning within a Reception class


• Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions


• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily activities


• Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development


• Supervising and supporting pupils during lunchtime duty

Working Hours:

• 30 hours per week


• Monday to Friday


• 8:45am - 3:15pm


• Includes lunchtime supervision

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)


• Previous experience working within an EYFS setting


• A nurturing, patient and positive approach


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills


• A commitment to supporting children's development and wellbeing
