Our Primary School is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our early years team, working across both Nursery (Pre-School) and Reception. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking school community that values early education and child development.
Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant – Nursery & Reception
Location: Burnley
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2025
Contract: Full-time – term time only
Pay: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
The Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Work with small groups or individual children to support learning, social development, and well-being
- Assist in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress
- Support with daily routines, including outdoor learning, phonics, and structured play
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS setting
- Understands child development and the importance of early learning
- Is caring, patient, and committed to helping children thrive
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with children and adults
- Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or is working towards one) – ideally an Early Years qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
