Job summary

Brookside Primary School in Stockport is seeking an Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (TA) and Midday Assistant to work alongside the EYFS team. The role involves supporting the class teacher, assisting with lunchtime supervision, and helping with basic classroom resources.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in EYFS is desirable.
• Ability to assist pupils with special educational needs.
• Willing to undertake midday duties and provide basic classroom support.

Responsibilities

• To support, assist & supervise children in or outside classes under the direction of the teacher.
• To participate in the planning process as directed by the teacher.
• To provide assistance in the development of learning resources within the school.
• To undertake basic first aid duties and attend to sick children.
• To provide support for children with physical needs.
• To provide clerical assistance as necessary e.g. reading records.
