Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bradford from September 2026. The role is full-time, long-term with potential for permanent placement.

You will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, delivering engaging activities, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and helping build confidence and communication through play-based learning.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Experience in EYFS, nursery or primary settings desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative and confident in supporting play-based learning.
• Able to build positive relationships with young children.
• Flexible, proactive and able to adapt to individual children's needs.
• Relevant childcare qualification or experience advantageous but not essential.
• Available to work full-time from September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support children across the EYFS with their learning and development.
• Work with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Support children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and curiosity through play-based learning.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Support positive behaviour and social-emotional regulation.
• Observe progress and contribute to learning plans.
• Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers.
• Support classroom routines, transitions, lunchtime and outdoor learning.
