EYFS Teaching Assistant

As a good school in a reputable area that displays generally good behaviour across the board, we are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will be welcomed by an experienced and friendly team who are happy to help any new practitioner settle in. The Head Teacher, whom I have been contacted by, is approachable and highly regarded amongst staff and governors.

In this role, you would be required to:

1. Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
2. Work across both classes (approx. 28 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning
3. Assist in the management of behaviour
4. Work with children on a 1:1 basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting phonics, maths, reading, and writing abilities.

High standards of behaviour are of paramount importance across the school; therefore, the successful candidate must be confident in following the school’s behavioural policy. Experience within a Primary School setting is essential, with EYFS experience being preferable. The individual appointed must have an in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Framework and be passionate about education.
