Greenfields Primary School & Nursery are currently looking to appoint a Nursery Apprentice to complement our successful team. You must possess a natural nurturing ability, want to encourage children to achieve and be a good team player. You will be a good communicator, have a good command of the English language, be trustworthy, reliable, take pride in what you do and above all else, be an exemplary role model to small children.   • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English, and maths at C grade or higher
  • NVQ Early Years Care and Education or equivalent / NNEB or equivalent
  • Training in the relevant strategies for NNEB
  • An ability to understand the principles of child development and learning processes and in particular barriers to learning.
  • Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children - identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity, providing an inclusive and co-operative environment in which all students and individuals working for and on behalf of the organisation feel respected and able to give of their best.

This is a Fixed term position (2 years), 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The hours are flexible and timetabled between the hours of 8am and 6pm. You will attend Tresham college regularly whilst completing in-house internal assessments and observations.
