Job summary

A leading education agency is seeking individuals to support students with Special Needs at a SEND school in Chester. The ideal candidates will provide personal care and implement bespoke learning plans, ensuring all students' needs are met. Experience with Early Years is advantageous, but not essential. About the Role:

Connex Education are working with a SEND school based in Chester

About the School:

The school itself caters for students with Severe Learning Needs, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. All students are of primary age and have an Education Health Care Plan in place. With both verbal and non-verbal students attending, classes are groups on ability rather than age. Staff at school work together providing care and education through bespoke learning plans, ensuring all students needs are met.

There are part time roles available and the Head would also be interested in speaking with those who would consider day to day work to cover sickness / courses.

Person Specification:

  • Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
  • Be confident providing personal care
  • Experience working with Early Years would be advantageous, yet not essential
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
  • Be able to provide 2 references
