About the Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) in Hull, you will play a vital role in supporting the early development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities of an EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)

• Support and Inspire: Assist in supporting individual and small group learning activities.
• Plan and Engage: Help in planning and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to young children.
• Monitor and Adapt: Monitor and assess students progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate for Success: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to students development.
• Innovate and Motivate: Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate young learners, catering to their diverse learning styles and needs.
• Track and Report: Maintain accurate records of students progress and report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.

Requirements for an EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Experience with phonics and early development is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the unique challenges and needs of young children in early years education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
• Relevant qualifications or training in early years education (desirable but not essential).

• An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one.
