Role: EYFS Teaching Assistants
Location: Wandsworth
Pay rate: up to 600 a week
Start date: 3rd September 2025

Horizon teachers are seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant EYFS team to support on whole class, small group and one-to-one basis. The successful candidate will support students on an academic, social and emotional basis, ensuring all new students transition into the school environment smoothly.

Job description:
  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of the EYFS National Curriculum
  • Providing support on a whole class basis, observing and assisting students that may need extra academic support
  • Support children to develop a positive sense of themselves and of others.
  • Support children's emotional well-being to help them regulate their emotions and deal with situations they face in their day-to-day lives
  • Support the delivery of daily phonics sessions, ensuring they have the necessary tools when reading and writing independently
  • Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
  • Set challenging expectations, promoting self-esteem and independence
  • Accompany teaching staff and students on visits, trips and off-site activities as requires
