Finberry Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our youngest children in the Nursery. Our team is regularly updated and will give you an excellent idea of everyday life at Richmond.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the EYFS team to deliver high-quality education and care to children within the EYFS setting at Finberry School. We focus on early development and encourage children’s communication through high-quality interactions.
We are seeking a dedicated individual with a minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
Candidates currently enrolled in relevant training courses will also be considered. All qualifications will be verified against the DFE-approved EYFS Practitioner list. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the EYFS team to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment inside and outside the classroom for young learners
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities to promote children’s individual development
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child
• Uphold the safeguarding and welfare of all children in line with school policies and procedures
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
• Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
• Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st-century learning
• Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
• Want to develop children as lifelong, curious learners
• Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
• Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration, and independence
This role is:
• Monday to Friday
• 33.75 hrs per week (30 hours are offered on a permanent contract, with the additional 3.75 hours attached to the Early Years setting and will be reduced if you move to another year group)
