Reception Teacher Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independence.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, using observations to inform planning and next steps.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive Early Years curriculum.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regularly, providing updates on children's progress and development.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching in Early Years, particularly in a Reception class.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
