EYFS Teacher - Ignite Early Potential in Sheffield!

We are thrilled to be recruiting an enthusiastic and imaginative EYFS Teacher to join one of our nurturing school families in Sheffield from September 2025. If you're passionate about laying the strongest foundations for lifelong learning, and thrive in an environment bursting with wonder and creativity, this is your chance to shine!

Your Mission: Shaping Tiny Futures

As our EYFS Teacher, you won't just be teaching; you'll be a vital guide in the most formative years of a child's development. Your core purpose will be to create a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning haven where every child, typically aged 3-5, can flourish.

Key aspects of this incredibly rewarding role include:

  • Fostering Development: Planning and delivering rich, stimulating learning activities that ensure excellent progression across all areas of development, building on each child's unique starting points.
  • Creating Enchanting Environments: Designing vibrant indoor and outdoor spaces that capture attention, spark excitement, and encourage independent exploration and child-initiated learning.
  • Building Connections: Guiding children and parents through smooth transitions into our school, building strong, trusting partnerships with families to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
  • Nurturing Well-being: Supporting children in developing emotional security, self-belief, and mature social skills, ensuring a safe, clean, and secure learning environment always.
  • Assessment & Insights: Thoughtfully assessing progress, maintaining insightful learning journals for each child, and effectively communicating achievements and next steps to parents.
  • Leading & Collaborating: Taking a proactive role in leading our dedicated EYFS team, ensuring every member contributes fully, and collaborating with colleagues, including the Inclusion Coordinator, to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Championing Safeguarding: Taking full responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of all children within the school, adhering to the highest standards of conduct and professional behaviour.
  • Promoting a Love for Learning: Instilling a deep love of learning and an infectious excitement about coming to school each day, fostering spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

We're looking for someone who truly embodies the spirit of early years education. You will possess:

  • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: The ability to connect deeply with young children, build strong relationships with parents, and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues. This includes excellent spoken English.
  • Boundless Creativity & Adaptability: A talent for inventing engaging lessons and activities that captivate young minds, coupled with the flexibility to adapt plans as needed in a dynamic classroom.
  • Profound Patience & Dedication: An understanding heart, incredible patience, and unwavering dedication to nurturing the emotional security and self-belief of every child.
  • Strong Organisational Acumen: Excellent planning, organisation, and time-management skills to ensure a smooth, well-resourced learning environment.
  • Robust Classroom Management: The skills to establish clear expectations for behaviour through positive relationships, promoting a respectful and harmonious setting.
  • SEN Awareness: An understanding of how to identify and support children with Special Educational Needs, working in partnership with our Inclusion Coordinator.
  • A Commitment to Safeguarding: An unshakeable commitment to the safety and welfare of all children.
What we can offer: Our Commitment to Your Success

Joining our team isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of a supportive and vibrant community where your passion will truly flourish. We offer:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Outstanding Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities tailored to early years best practice, supporting your ongoing learning and career progression.
  • A genuinely supportive and collaborative working environment where your innovative contributions are highly valued and celebrated.
  • The profound and lasting chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of our youngest students, shaping their foundational experiences.
  • A rewarding "Refer a Friend" scheme (£300 Love2shop vouchers, subject to conditions).
  • Potential for flexibility in certain aspects of the role to support work-life balance.
