EYFS Teacher

An Ofsted outstanding SEN school in London is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teacher to work with primary and reception-aged students in a supportive environment, as they have expanded their early years provision by adding another class in new buildings!

We are looking for an EYFS Teacher for a vibrant primary school in London, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a reception-aged setting.

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.

The School

The successful applicant will join an outstanding SEN school in London for children with severe learning difficulties. The school offers provision for pupils aged 4-19 years and implements the EYFS framework alongside play-based and sensory learning activities to ensure each student reaches their learning goals.

The EYFS Teacher Job

• Develop and implement personalised educational programs based on a play-based EYFS curriculum.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as needed.
• Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.
• Lead and work with a support team within the classroom.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; PGCE for 5-11 years old is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD.
• Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
