The Role

As a Reception Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that promote curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Plan and assess in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure every child progresses.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to foster strong relationships and a supportive learning community.
  • Encourage play-based learning and exploration to develop key skills in early literacy, numeracy, and social development.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing individualised support where needed.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in Early Years.
  • Is passionate about early childhood education and understands the developmental needs of young children.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Is creative, enthusiastic, and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child-centred learning approaches.
  • Is adaptable, reflective, and eager to contribute to a positive school environment.
