Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an EYFS Supply Teacher to provide high-quality, play-based learning across Nursery and Reception in local primary schools. This flexible role supports term-time only placements with no long-term planning burdens.

You will bring QTS and EYFS expertise to oversee holistic development, early literacy and numeracy, and a safe, engaging environment. Weekly pay and friendly team support complete the picture for a balanced, rewarding schedule.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS with EYFS specialization.

• High energy and patient approach to manage engaging activities and group dynamics.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning across Nursery and Reception in line with Development Matters.
• Lead Phonics and early maths sessions to build school readiness.
• Create a creative, play-based classroom with minimal admin and planning load.
• Collaborate with Nursery Nurses and Teaching Assistants to ensure consistency of care and learning.

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only)

Salary: £100 - 160 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience)

We are seeking dedicated EYFS Teachers who are masters of "learning through play." This role is perfect for practitioners who love the spontaneity and creativity of the Foundation Stage but want to avoid the time-consuming paperwork of long-term tracking and formal reporting.

Your Role as an EYFS Lead

As an EYFS Supply Teacher, you are the guardian of a child's first educational experiences, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for exploration.

• Holistic Development: Support the three prime areas-Communication and Language, Physical Development, and PSED-through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Early Literacy & Numeracy: Deliver high-energy Phonics and early maths sessions that build confidence and "school readiness."
• Creative Environment Management: Adapt quickly to different indoor and outdoor learning spaces, ensuring all health and safety standards are met while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
• Collaborative Support: Work seamlessly with Nursery Nurses and Teaching Assistants to provide a consistent and caring routine for every child.

• Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation or significant experience in EYFS/Early Years.
• Are an EYFS Expert: You have a deep understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and the "Characteristics of Effective Learning."
• Are High-Energy & Patient: You can lead a "dough disco," settle a restless group during storytime, and manage personal care needs with a positive attitude.
• Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
