Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an EYFS SEN Teacher in Twickenham, Richmond upon Thames, for a full-time ASAP start. You will lead an Early Years class in a specialist SEN setting, delivering a creative, play-based and highly personalised curriculum to young children with complex needs.

The role requires QTS, EYFS/SEN experience, a calm, nurturing approach and strong teamwork. You will work closely with TAs and therapists, contribute to EHCP reviews, and ensure safeguarding and records meet statutory

Qualifications

• QTS essential
• Experience teaching in an Early Years or SEN setting
• Knowledge of EYFS framework and SEND Code of Practice
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver an engaging, play-based EYFS curriculum tailored to pupils' needs and EHCPs
• Carry out ongoing assessment and observation to track progress
• Create a safe, stimulating and structured learning environment for young learners with SEN
• Work closely with TAs, therapists and other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and carers
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and pupil progress reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school and statutory requirements
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies
