Job summary

Randstad Education in Forest Row is seeking an experienced Nursery Room Leader to lead a busy EYFS room on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will work 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work, and you will be responsible for mentoring staff, planning activities and ensuring safeguarding.

If you have Level 3 Early Years, strong leadership, and a passion for child development, this role offers clear progression.

Qualifications

• UK nursery experience with EYFS and safeguarding.
• Supervisory/ senior room experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check and two references required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire room staff to deliver EYFS care.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, manage routines, and oversee learning environments.
• Act as a Key Person, monitor progress, conduct assessments, and maintain learning journals.
• Maintain open, professional communication with parents and carers regarding child updates.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
