Job summary

Academics in Redbridge, London, is seeking a Reception/ EYFS Teaching Assistant to start September or October 2026. The role covers two Reception classes, supporting teachers and delivering activities across the EYFS curriculum.

This full-time, long-term position offers a daily rate of £95-£120, with a path to permanent contract before September 2027. Excellent transport links and on-site car park are provided, along with opportunities for further teacher training from September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school or EYFS curriculum.
• Ability to work across two Reception classes and support teachers.
• Plan activities for small groups; assist reading, writing, phonics and numeracy.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work across two Reception classes to support class teachers.
• Plan and deliver activities for small groups in reading and writing.
• Support phonics and numeracy sessions in EYFS.
• Assist with general supervision and pupil welfare.
