Job summary

Teach South Sussex is actively recruiting EYFS & Reception Teaching Assistants to support a number of welcoming primary schools across Brighton and Peacehaven from September.

We have both full-time and part-time positions available, providing 1:1 support to children joining Reception. The role focuses on helping young learners settle in, build confidence and develop social and early learning skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally EYFS/nursery/primary.
• Patience, nurturing and ability to build positive relationships with young children.
• Confident supporting children on a 1:1 basis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children on a 1:1 basis as they join Reception.
• Help children settle into school life, build confidence and relationships.
• Assist with social, emotional and early learning needs during transition.
