Job description

REQUIRED FOR: September 2025

Can you help us develop the SMART CREATIVES of the future?

Join us on our journey and be part of something special.

Wednesfield Technology Primary School is part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, providing staff with opportunities to progress both within the school, and across the Trust.

We are a brand new innovative two-form primary that opened in September 2024 and is situated in the heart of Wednesfield. We are a Passivhaus School with pupils currently in the early years, ready to make a huge impact with only a tiny carbon footprint!

Our sister school: Shireland Technology Primary, has recently been rated as outstanding by Ofsted in all areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. It is the blueprint for this new school and we are also on our journey to ‘provide an exceptional education for all pupils’.

Our purpose is to empower pupils to achieve beyond expectations by providing the best technology-enabled education opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate and creative teacher who can inspire and lead others, works well within a team and who will help us on our journey to provide exceptional provision for all pupils and their families as we grow.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Have experience teaching; preferably at EYFS and key stage one.
  2. Be looking for a new and exciting challenge in their career.
  3. Be a consistently good/outstanding teacher.
  4. An exceptional classroom practitioner with high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
  5. Able to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils.
  6. Committed to raising standards for all and share the same drive to constantly learn and improve.
  7. Show willingness to lead initiatives, track and show evidence of impact.
  8. Demonstrate a passion to make a difference to others.
  9. To be proficient with the use of technology for learning and willingness to innovate using technology in the classroom.

In return we will offer:

  1. Opportunities across our MAT to enhance skills and experience at both primary and secondary level.
  2. Excellent career development opportunities.
  3. Exceptional CPD provision including regional, national and international experts in their field.
  4. A technology rich environment which allows staff to be innovative in harnessing technology for learning.
  5. The chance to be part of a brand-new school with a new building with unique facilities and an amazing team.

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects its entire staff to share this commitment. All post-holders will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children’s Barred List check for post carrying out a regulated activity.

We would advise you arrange a visit to see our fabulous school prior to applying; please contact the office on 01902 962700.

Closing date for applications: 28th March 2025.
We reserve the right to close this post early.
