Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking a Nursery Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a long-term temporary contract that may become permanent.

You will plan and deliver EYFS-aligned, play-based learning, observe development and tailor activities to each child. Start ASAP, 8:00–16:00, Monday to Friday. Salary paid to Scale UQT/MPS; permanent potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS/EYTS or Level 6 EY qualification.
• Recent nursery or early years experience.
• Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development.
• Ability to nurture safe, inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning within EYFS.
• Observe and assess children’s development to plan next steps.
• Support communication, independence, and early learning skills.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and leaders to promote wellbeing.
• Foster a warm, child-centred learning atmosphere.
