Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced Nursery Teacher for maternity cover at a busy 52-place nursery in Bootle, Sefton. The role requires strong EYFS knowledge and the ability to lead day-to-day nursery provision, including deployment of staff and maintaining routines.

The position offers a full-time maternity-cover role with a supportive team, ongoing CPD access, and PAYE weekly payments in a warm school community.

Qualifications

• Requires QTS.
• Range of nursery experience desirable.
• Strong EYFS knowledge and planning ability.
• Able to lead nursery staff and coordinate activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EYFS lessons across the curriculum.
• Create an organised, stimulating nursery environment.
• Complete observations, assessments and records.
• Use assessment data to inform planning and next steps.
• Deploy and coordinate up to five nursery staff.
• Support children with diverse needs and abilities.
• Maintain routines and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with EYFS and senior leadership teams.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Support children's social, emotional and language development.
