An education recruitment agency is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support a young pupil in a Reception class at an outstanding primary school in Bristol. You'll provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs and assist with whole-class activities to help children settle. A wonderful Reception class in an Ofsted Outstanding school in Clifton is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join the team this September. You’ll be working 1:1 with a young pupil with an EHCP who will be in school part-time, and when he’s not in class, you’ll be supporting the wider group as they settle into school life.
1:1 support for a Reception pupil with additional needs (part-time attendance)
Whole-class assistance to ease the transition into school routines
Working in small groups to develop fine motor skills and handwriting
Supporting early reading- phonics, book exploration, and storytelling
Helping create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels welcome
Someone with EYFS or KS1 experience (Reception a bonus!)
Confident supporting children with additional needs
Skilled in delivering simple, practical interventions to boost key skills
Warm, proactive, and ready to muck in with a smile
