Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a permanent, full-time position in Waltham Forest, East London. You will support the Early Years team, help deliver engaging play-based activities, and contribute to each child’s development in a welcoming school setting.

The role requires a Level 3 EYFS qualification, GCSE English and Maths, and a genuine passion for early education.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EYFS qualification (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Experience working within an Early Years or school setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging play-based activities.
• Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
• Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Complete observations and contribute to children's learning journeys.
• Support classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
