Bawnmore Infant School,

Bawnmore Community Infant School has a long-standing reputation for nurturing, high-quality education in the heart of Rugby. Our school is known for its warm, inclusive ethos where positive relationships are central to everything we do. As part of the Bilton Community Federation, alongside Bilton Infant School and Bilton C of E Junior School, we work collaboratively to provide an outstanding educational journey for all our pupils.

Our school has worked hard to grow and develop our Pre-School setting over the last few years. We now have a 2-form entry Pre-School with a maximum of 40 children in the morning sessions and 32 in the afternoon sessions. As EYFS Lead, you will work closely with our Pre-School Manager to further develop planning, assessment and provision across our EY provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced class teacher ready to take the next step into leadership or for an established EYFS leader looking to further develop their skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our Early Years provision while leading a Reception class.

Key Requirements:

  • Has recent, successful experience of teaching in a Reception classroom
  • Is enthusiastic about meeting the needs of young learners through play-based learning
  • Can lead a team with confidence and clarity
  • Is a positive role model who communicates well and is highly organised
  • Is committed to supporting children’s emotional development through attachment and trauma-informed approaches
  • Shares and promotes the values and ethos of our school
