Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, early childhood development and how young children learn.
• Ability to plan and deliver purposeful, engaging learning through play and guided activities.
• Creates stimulating indoor and outdoor environments to foster curiosity and independence.
• Places communication and language, early reading and early mathematics at the heart of practice.
• Uses observation and assessment to identify next steps and adapt teaching.
• Has high expectations for every child and supports SEND needs.
• Builds warm, trusting relationships with children and parents/carers.
• Collaborates with colleagues to provide a consistent early years experience.
• Reflective and resilient, keen to develop practice and reflect on impact.
• Models and supports the school’s inclusive Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Teach within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences through a balance of play and adult-led activities.
• Create stimulating indoor and outdoor environments to support exploration.
• Focus on communication, language, early reading and mathematics development.
• Use observations and assessments to plan next steps for children.
• Build strong relationships with families to support learning at home.
• Work collaboratively with staff to provide consistent EYFS provision.
• Demonstrate reflective practice and resilience in daily duties.
