Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a full-time role starting after Easter. The ideal candidate will lead sessions and manage behavior effectively within a classroom environment.

• Up to date Safeguarding training (desirable).

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a teaching assistant with experience supporting SEN in Early Years. This is a full time role to start after Easter.

The strongest applicant will have confidence in leading a group of children in absence of their teacher, reading, and writing sessions and will have good behavioural management skills.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – PR4
• Position – Early Years Teaching Assistant
• Type of work – Long Term April 2025
• Duration / Likely Duration – ongoing
• End date (if applicable) – End of the academic year – onwards
• Contract type – Ongoing
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum of £100 per day.
• Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional child related references.
