Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Tameside is seeking an experienced Extrusion Setter/Operator to manage the PVC Extrusion Line. The role demands strong operational skills with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of processing experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of fault rectification within PVC Extrusion.
  • Hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set, run, and monitor the PVC Extrusion Line for bespoke products.
  • Implement production programmes with quality and speed parameters.
  • Adjust machine parameters as needed and perform occasional die cleaning.

Job description

My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside. They supply products to over 100 countries worldwide with Head Offices in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. We are now looking for them a Extrusion Setter/Operator, based at the site in Tameside.

Salary: up to £36.5K DOE

Working hours: 36 hours per week – 9pm-6am Mon to Thu
30 mins – paid break.

The primary responsibilities include setting, running, and monitoring the PVC Extrusion Line for bespoke products. The role involves a hands-on approach, implementing production programmes with quality and speed parameters, programming machines, feeding and controlling tools, understanding dimensional checks, recording quality results, visual inspection, and adjusting machine parameters as needed. Occasional die cleaning and tool changes are also required.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of processing experience in a similar role, with knowledge of fault rectification within PVC Extrusion. Applicants must be hardworking, able to work under pressure in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
