Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Extrusion Setter for a premier UK plastics manufacturer. You will set up extrusion lines, optimize processes, and assist with line prep, data capture, and shift handovers.

The role requires at least 2 years of extrusion setter experience, knowledge of plastics, and a proactive, quality-focused mindset. The position offers a 37.5-hour week on rotating shifts and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, training, and career

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Extrusion Setter.
• Technical: Knowledge of plastics, manufacturing principles, HSE standards.
• Desirable: Plastics industry qualification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and optimize extrusion lines, including start-up, tool changes and shut-down.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare lines, perform 5S housekeeping and ensure proper SOPs are issued.
• Record data and support shift handovers with detailed notes.
• Assist team leaders with training and coaching of apprentices.
