Job summary

Eurocell plc in Somercotes, Alfreton, is seeking Manufacturing Operatives for extrusion to operate and pack profile lines and ensure accurate labeling. You will record production data and verify products meet specifications.

Shifts are 4 on 4 off, days or nights, 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, with an hourly rate of £13.66 plus £2 night shift allowance and eligible benefits.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills in a busy production environment.
• Solid numeracy and literacy to record data accurately.
• Practical thinking to solve simple process issues.
• Experience in a factory setting and long shifts is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain pace in high-volume extrusion lines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct material, labeling and product markings.

ROLE: Manufacturing Operative - Extrusion

HOURS: Continental shifts 4 on, 4 off. Days and Nights available : 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am

SALARY: £13.66 per hour plus £2.00 per hour night shift allowance and plus benefits

We are currently recruiting for additional Extrusion Operatives on Days, working 4 on 4 off on a fixed term contract across our Clover Nook and Birchwood Sites in Somercotes, Alfreton.

What Our Manufacturing Operatives Do

• Operating and packing extrusion profile lines to the required specifications
• Correctly packaging and loading finished goods
• Verify that manufactured product meets visual, dimensional, and functional specifications
• Ensure that the correct product is made from the correct material, with the correct product marking and labelling
• Check that all products leaving the factory complies with the required product marking
• Record all production data on the relevant journals

What We Need From Our Manufacturing Operatives

• Extrusion Operator experience could be an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Practical thinking
• Ability to keep pace, in a high-volume production environment
• Experience of working in a factory environment
• Experience of working long shifts, on your feet
