Job summary

Intact Insurance, based in Liverpool, seeks an External Reporting Consolidation Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Finance team. You will consolidate UK&I IFRS reporting, validate data, and support statutory reporting for RSA Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder collaboration and timely, accurate financial disclosures. Experience with consolidation, IFRS knowledge, and excellent communication are essential;

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Ability to interpret IFRS and regulatory reporting for insurance entities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to challenge complex data sources and design compliant reporting.
• Effective stakeholder management and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Consolidates and validates UK&I external financial data and ensures proper controls.
• Prepares compliant IFRS reporting for IFRS/ RSA Group and UK Solo entities.
• Supports timely IFRS and Solvency UK analyses and review processes.
• Assists in Audit Committee papers and specialist accounting assessments.
• Prepares statutory, regulatory and statistical returns as required.
• Liaises with colleagues to gather data and maintain reporting alignment.
• Gathers and validates quantitative and qualitative information from multiple sources.
