External Dependency Test Lead – Contract (Inside IR35)

? Location: Warwick, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

? Contract Length: 6 months (rolling extension)

We are looking for an experienced External Dependency Test Lead to join a large-scale transformation programme in the energy/utilities sector. The role requires a skilled test professional capable of managing multiple test stages across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, ensuring seamless coordination across external systems and platforms.

? Responsibilities

Own end-to-end test coordination across UAT, STRC, Point-to-Point, and Automation stages.

Manage dependencies with external platform/system teams and test environment owners.

Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure support is planned via user stories.

Act as a central point for test assurance, reporting, and defect management where required.

Oversee test planning, test design, and QA reporting.

? Requirements

5+ years leading system integration and user acceptance test phases.

Hands-on experience with JIRA/XRAY and quality reporting (dashboards, burndown, etc.).

Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Exposure to SCADA or control systems.

Experience with API-based integrations (e.g., Mulesoft) and test environment coordination.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards (IEC101, 61850, etc.) is a plus.
